Trout ‘n About 2018 is on Sunday 5 August 2018!
The deadline for making applications has now been reached ! I shall be busy this week sorting out the hundreds of applications we have received before I meet with the Trout ‘ About Committee so that we can decide who we are going to select for this year’s festival.
Once the Trout ‘n About Committee have looked through the applications you will be advised whether you have been accepted, short-listed or rejected in the week beginning Monday 2 April 2018.
Again this year we will be favouring applications from local people and businesses who can offer artisan crafts and foods.
We are passionate about showcasing the very best of local food, drink and craft producers located within and around Hampshire, and this year we are hoping to have judges to view all the stalls who will be looking to see which stands in their estimation display this – there will be three categories: Food, Crafts and Plants and Flowers. The winners will not receive any prizes but will be featured on our website and other social media as prime examples of the produce that Trout ‘n About aspires to.
Any queries or for more information please contact Sarah Madden by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that this year the price of hiring a gazebo has increased from £40 to £50 – this hire charge reflects an increase in our suppliers charges of providing, erecting and dismantling the gazebos but you are of course welcome to bring your own gazebo remembering the size of the 3m x 3m pitch. The cost of hiring tables remains the same. We are also introducing a £10 charge to those that request power points – as we are having to ensure that a Risk Assessment is done first and many of you already know through your experience at other festivals that the extension cables and plugs that you will need to remember to bring with you should have also been PAT tested. There will be a qualified electrician present on the day and if you have any queries about this or anything else please email me in good time.
We want this year’s festival to be a brilliant one!
Trout ‘n About is itself a Not-for-Profit organisation, manned by volunteers from the village and any excess money is donated to local charitable groups selected by the volunteers after the festival.
